Macaulay Carson Culkin (born August 26, 1980, in New York City), was one of the virtually all popular infant stars around Hollywood between 1990-1994
Macaulay's rise to fame wwhen kickstarted thanks to his role as Kevin in the blockbuster film Home Alone (1990). He reprised a role of Kevin in the 1992 sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, which was also the profits. In this instance, Culkin struck the friendly relationship by having popular legend Michael Jackson.
Despite a mega profits one deuce films & Culkin's spectacular star power, more films he did like The Good Son(which costarred Elijah Wood) and My Girl only did reasonably well, when Getting Even With Dad and Richie Rich bombed at the pack professional.
Culkin's career was cut short at the age of Fourteen thanks to a piercingly custody battle between his mother & father. His father, Kit Culkin, had been Macaulay's manager & was widely known for his aggressiveness.
Though Culkin would non work for several years, he was hardly forgotten. However, numbers of wondered what would become of his career.
Culkin slowly climbed into acting sustaining the stellar role in the play "Madame Muville". Shortly fallowing, he would produce the guest appearance on the NBC sitcom Will and Grace. His role when Karen Walker's attorney won him caring reviews.
Culkaround eventually soured back into motion pictures in 2003 using Party Monster, where he played fallen person promoter Michael Alig. His role in the film received very much publicity thanks to the real-life Alig's queerness & white plague. Though non the vast hit, "Party Monster" received the cult charted, also when showing that Culkin got grown into the matured actor outside his preceding profits.
A year late, Culkwithin starred in Saved! opposite Mandy Moore. In the film, Culkin played the wheelchaired-attached Christian school student. Though "Saved!" sole got mild profits, Culkin received several caring reviews for his role in the film.
As much as a instance of release for two "Party Monster" & Protected!", much speculation was given on Macaulay's sexual preference, mainly due to the fact that both films had some sort of gay context to them. Though Culkin has denied that he's gay, he has yet to show any heated opposition to speculation.
Culkin caught headlines once again in 2005 when he was arrested in Oklahoma after police discovered marijuana and xanax pills inside his vehicle after they had stopped him. Investigation proved that Culkin wasn't a drug addict, and he received a suspended sentence.
Around the time of the judges decision, Culkin was once again in the news when he testified on behalf of friend Michael Jackson during his child molestation trial. On the stand, he denied that he had ever been molested by Jackson and said that he felt that the charges against Jackson were outrageous. Many credit Culkin's testimony with the eventual acquittal of the fallen King of Pop.
As of yet, Macaulay has yet to star in another film vehicle.
